Dr Jie Xiong works at Chongqing Jiaotong University. He received his PhD in Built Environment from Chongqing University (China) and was jointly educated by the University of Cambridge (UK), the University of Reading (UK) and University College London (UK). After that, he pursued postdoctoral research as an Assistant Research Fellow at Tsinghua University. His research interests encompass the built environment/urban microclimate, climate adaptability of building passive technologies, low-carbon/green buildings, and other related topics. He has a track record of participating in more than 10 research programmes from NSFC, MoST, EPSRC, GII and other governmental and non-government organizations. He currently serves as a committee member of the Climate Change Working Committee and the Carbon Neutrality Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Sustainable Development, and the Early-Career Editor for the Journal of Building Engineering, and peer reviewer for several academic journals.
