Professor Qinglu Ma is the director of Institute of Intelligent Transportation, a Chair Professor of School of Civil Engineering, in Chongqing Jiaotong University. He also serves as a Chair of Technical Committee in the World Transportation Convention. he has been a Visiting Scholar of the University of Texas at Austin in U.S. during 2016 to 2017. His scientific interests are principally concerned with Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Data processing, Satellite Navigating and Positing System.

He received his PhD (2012) in Computer Science and Technology from Chongqing University in China. His primary areas of interest are innovations related to intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and safety, connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV). He has considerable expertise in large-scale transportation-data analytics, including programming-based data processing, integration, visualization, and data-driven modeling. Qinglu is working on Cloud Intelligent Inspection Robot, he has developed a complete set of cloud-edge-end hardware and software system for unattended intelligent inspection of key sections such as tunnels, Bridges and slopes, and has achieved good practical application results in Chongqing, Ningxia, Guangxi and other places.
